The following members were elected to the SPAAL Board for 2011-12 at the Annual General Meeting held on Tuesday, 13 December 2011 at Parramatta RSL Club.
President, Craig Murray, Individual Member
Former member of NSW Police Force with over 15 years experience. Over 10 years experience in the security industry, primarily as principal of a Registered Training Organisation specialising in training for licensed security operatives.
Vice President, Steve Van Zwieten, Exact Security
In excess of 30 years experience at all levels of the security and licensed club management industries. Former Regional Vice President of ASIS International with CPP qualifications and Risk Management Consultant. Currently Principal / CEO of Sydney based security company specialising in manpower and licensed venues.

Dennis Clapham, Individual Member
Over 10 years experience in the security industry, specifically in areas of management, operations, training and business development. Business owner and security risk management consultant operating predominantly in regional NSW. Member of the Risk Management Institute of Australia and the Australian Institute of Management.
Tim Bales, Balewood Security
Managing Director of a manpower security company for over 26 years, specialising in crowd control, control room operations, cash in transit and security risk assessment services. Holder of a Cert. IV in Risk Assessment and completing Bachelor of Science (Security) degree through Edith Cowan University.
Wayne Riley, TRP Consulting
Over 10 years experience in the security industry specialising in firearms. Very respected firearms instructor working for major Australian corporations. Member of NSW Property and Financial Services ITAB firearms sub-committee, responsible for the promotion of high standards of accreditation and training in the field.
Geoff McEvoy, Eastpoint Training Academy
Director of training and manpower companies on the north coast of New South Wales, qualified trainer and security licence holder with vast practical experience spanning over 40 years in the security industry, policing and correctional services.
Garry Oliver, Bars Training Australia Pty Ltd, QLD
Director and Senior Facilitator of a Qld based Registered Training Organisation specialising in security industry training & licensing. Vast experience and holder of executive board positions within a number of security / licensing organisations and associations. Senior lecturer and co-ordinator for the Justice Department within Qld TAFE. Previously, Garry had 24 years of operational policing service with the Qld Police.
Sam Ekinci, Allied Risk Solutions Pty Ltd
Sam Ekinci is the CEO of Allied Risk Solutions and started his career as a NSW Police officer working with the Corporate Affairs Commission and Fraud Squad before taking on Operational and Training roles with the Tactical Response Group.
